Rainy, cold day, stuck indoors, played with Photoscape, decided that the entire mosaic was just
too busy
Ahhh, much simpler, much better. Hope my peonies hold up for the next two days of rain...
How's the weather in your corner?
Linking to the wonderful Mary at
Little Red House. Mary, thank you for encouraging me to play and then being willing to feature the messes. ☺
We stayed inside this afternoon...because of the heat! So it was fun making a mosaic today and talking about books! We need some of your rain! ♥
ReplyDeleteBBQ'd at my sons house after church..and that was about all the heat I could take! I'm spending the rest of the day inside! Please send S. Arkansas some cool rain!
ReplyDeleteok..... now I forget, where do you live? Cold and rainy????? Oh my gosh! 100 degrees here and we haven't seen any rain in such a long time...... huge cracks in the ground, and all the weeds and grass are turning brown. I'm moving to your state!
ReplyDeleteBig hugs....
The final result is really delicate! Wishing you well! Cathy
ReplyDeleteI think that playing and having fun with the computer and different programs is what it's all about here - and it was fun to look at both your mosaics.
ReplyDeleteVee,
ReplyDeleteJust lovely!
We got the Big Rain today too. And then a sunny and every-so-slightly less muggy evening.
Carol
I like both of your mosaics ... each so different and a clue to you! I'll take your rain ... PLEASE!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWe need a little rain in our lives now and then. We had passing storms yesterday and today. This too shall pass, remember Vee, breathe.
ReplyDeleteWe spent most of the day (Sunday) at church with worship service this morning, home for brunch, then back to church early for choir/band practice for our music night tonight. A long day and it was cloudy and cool plus there is rain coming for the next 3 days! Where oh where did our summer weather go???
ReplyDeleteOh...your splash is very much welcome here (Houston) it has been a bit humid lately! Lovely refreshing shots of the outdoor! :)
ReplyDeleteWe had a light rain this morning and then by noon the sun was out and it was humid. Oklahoma summers are always humid.
ReplyDeleteI love both! The busy and the not busy. We had rain yesterday, cooled things off, it's been pretty hot here!
ReplyDeleteBoth mosaic are fabulous. The weather changes from hot and humid to rain and cold all in one week and has been doing this all spring.
ReplyDeleteYou will soon be a Photoshop pro, Vee!
ReplyDeleteI finally was able to find the time to plant flowers in my garden today so I wouldn't mind two days of rain.:)
As soon as I came back to NYC the humidity hit me...Colorado is so nice and cool and dry.
You're so cute, Vee. I always enjoy my visit over here. I have a tendency to play, over-do and even annoy myself with myself {not that I assume you do that - it's something I tend to do}.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots, all together.
Oh, and we're having some rain here today, tomorrow and suppose to be on Tuesday as well. I did see a little sunshine peeking through the tree's tonight for about 30 minutes, though :)
Messy? Maybe, but way cool! I've never gotten any more creative with my photos than a simple exposure adjustment.
ReplyDeleteI too am hoping for you peonies since as I've mentioned before, I have none of my own... :( It started raining hard here about 2 hours ago too. The birds are singing though so I expect the sun to reappear shortly.
Blessings, Debbie
Yesterday was a beautiful, soft rain, as my husband's old Irish grandmother would say... I love your rainy stems pic, Vee -- really beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI'm just glad the heat wave is over!
xoxo
Just lovely....It was too hot some days ago, and now is cool, but pleasant...Overcast too, but I hope for sun tomorrow....
ReplyDeleteWe were suppose to have a sunny & warm weekend...yesterday was cloudy, today started sunny, but now it is raining again. :(
ReplyDeleteHope summer will provide more sun than spring has! :)
Blessings!
~Nadine
I love your mosaics, Vee! I sure your peonies will be lovely. We have had hot humid weather lately. With thunderstorms popping up.
ReplyDeleteI've just got to leave a comment today and tell you that I've been reading and keeping up with you. I love your photos! I've gotten used to doing everything lately at the speed of light and I'm gettin mighty tired. But I just wanted to say Hi. Yes, the heavy work is done on my room meaning the yucky stuff has been carried away. Now it the details. Didn't Ross Perot say "the devil's in the details"?
ReplyDeleteWe'll see! Love the detail work your hub has done on his siding work.
The mosaics are very lovely..busy one, and simpler one!
ReplyDeleteAhhh...but that "busy" one looks fabulous in the sketch mode.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a very lovely day....
I love both mosaics - the busy mosaic in sketch mode isn't as busy.
ReplyDeleteThe weather here is delightful - cool and dry - not too hot!
I was in Boston during that tornado warning - weird because we get so many in the midwest, I didn't expect see one on the east coast.
Blessings to you.
I am so impressed. You must have sketched the top mosaic on the right. Great talent...I love it!
ReplyDeleteCold and rainy here, too. We woke to 38 degrees Saturday morning and almost the same Sunday morning. It warms to the 70s by afternoon. Love this weather!
i like the simple mosaic one too. :-)
ReplyDeleteRain stopped here, as of Sun. night (could see moon) and Mon. morning. Sunshine now (Mon. morning) but possible T-storm this afternoon.
Reeeeeeelax... Breathe... :-)
~♥~
Vee,
ReplyDeleteI have the same problem. I make mosaics that are too busy and then I start deleting pictures and shuffling. Sometimes I just start over. Yours turned out very nice. It evokes the rainy day very well. Thanks for stopping by.
Sherry
You captured rainy day stuck inside very well! :0)
ReplyDeletePlaying with photos can be fun, but also frustrating when I don't get the results I envision. I do prefer the calm mosaic, it seems the mellow feeling is just right for a rainy day.
ReplyDeleteHere we've been having occasional showers, and it's much cooler than it should be. Cool weather is in this week's forecast.
