~John Goes Sledding~
"That," I started to say, "was a slow, easy ride." ☺

Favorite Christmas card verse this year (and a few other years, too).
If you look for Me at Christmas, you won’t need a special star, I’m no longer just in Bethlehem, I’m right there where you are. You may not be aware of Me amid the celebration, You’ll have to look beyond the stores and all the decorations. But if you take a moment from your list of things to do, And listen to your heart, you’ll find I’m waiting there for you. You’re the one I want to be with, you’re the reason that I came, And you’ll find Me in the stillness as I’m whispering your name.~Jesus
Yes, being off his walker is so much better than being off his rocker. LOL. Glad your day was grand, and mine was too.
ReplyDeleteI always LOVE it when I can hear y'all's voices!!!
ReplyDeleteYou have such a beautiful white Christmas!!! Would you believe the DFW area has snow today? The first White Christmas in 85 years! It will be 17 - 19 degrees there for the low temp.
We just have high winds here.....and colder temps. NEAR freezing tonight.
Sam had a great Christmas! Loved seeing your family!!
Looks like lots of fun at your place! Merry White Christmas to you. We just had rain this year...
ReplyDeleteSo cute! It looks like a winter wonderland by you, Vee! Glad Sam is healing well. xo
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad your day was magnificent, Vee, and very glad that your grandson is off his walker now. Congratulations on the pretty white stuff; all we have here is rain. :(
ReplyDeleteI, too, LOVE that Christmas card verse -- I've never seen that before. Thanks for sharing, and Merry Christmas to you and yours.
Hugs,
Denise at Forest Manor
I love seeing the sled ride! We have some snow here too, but tomorrow they are saying 8-12" more......I think I'll be staying home. I'm so glad you had a magnificent Christmas with your family, Vee! It looks wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI'm wondering if the words on that Christmas card have been set to music.
Oh the sledding looks like fun...I remember those days! I still have enough kid in me to be sledding now if I only had enough snow and good knees to walk back up those hills! Glad your g'son is healing nicely.
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a wonderful day. We had a great day and, yes, it does go by too fast. I cooked for 5 hours and it was eaten in about 20 minutes!! But we played games and I even got a much needed nap in. And now here I am...can't stay away from checking out a few blogs.
Love the Christmas card verse.
THAT looked like fun!!!!
ReplyDeleteDid you all have a ride on the sled?! It's something I've never done..... yet!
Wonderful to share such a special day with your family.
Oh that verse is beautiful - it says it all doesn't it Vee.
I'm going to print it off to go in my journal - thank you.
Sadly, the commercial world has taken over - we need to put Christ back into Christmas.
Stay warm
hugs
Shane
What a fun video. Glad you all enjoyed your time together and I'm thankful Sam is healing.
ReplyDeleteSo glad your Christmas was great!! And good to hear that Sam is improving all of the time.
ReplyDeleteWe had a delightful and very special day. The theme was making memories and we definitely made a few. Some silly and some touching.
That would definitely be my style of sledding...slow and easy. So happy to hear that Sam is off his walker-not-rocker! ;) And how wonderful to hear of such a lovely, memory-making day! Those do go by all too quickly, don't they? But what a gift!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the video!!
ReplyDeleteLovely Day...
ReplyDeleteLovely memories...
Lots of hugs, Dear Friend...
Oh and so, so, so glad to hear the good news, about Sam!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What a wonderful, sweet Christmas at your house, Vee! memories were made, I'm sure.
ReplyDeleteSorry I have been so absent -- we only have two weeks to go and I'm doing lots of sorting and packing and visiting friends and family to say *goodbyes for now* --it is bittersweet at times...sigh...but hearing my grandsons on the phone of Christmas made me so happy to know I'll be there to see them next year!
That looks like the perfect way to spend Christmas Day...slow-riding with the family! Glad you had the best of times...and so glad Sam is off his 'wocker'.
ReplyDeleteYour 'Christmas card verse' is just perfect. I was going to copy and paste it...just not sure where to paste it to so I remember it for next year.
Such fun to sled with the grands! And how wonderful that Sam has said goodbye to using his walker.
ReplyDeleteMy mom told me that she has progressed enough with her at-home therapy sessions that she is now using a cane to walk instead of the "pushy thing." LOL!
This is way to cute, Vee, Sam indeed had a magnificent day, I am so glad he is doing well., and that you had a magnificent day too!!
ReplyDeleteFor a change I am being lazy, and trying to catchup on my blogging, not feeling guilty at all. ~grin~
Hugs,
Sue
There is great beauty in simple days like this!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear of Sam's progress and that he is in his right mind as well!
Love
Deanna
I'm so glad to hear that Sam doesn't have to use the walker any longer. I'll just bet you had hot chocolate for them after the sledding.
