I'll try not to talk too much because I know, believe me I know, how busy you are.

There's nothing quite like that blue hour as daylight fades. It happens at 4 in the afternoon these days.
Have a wonderful Tuesday!
Morning Vee, so soothing.....love your pictures......warm post......Blessings Francine.
ReplyDeletelovely pictures, I think Nature's Pizelle is my favourite...and...
ReplyDeleteyour package is here, waiting to be mailed...not sure it will get there for Christmas...sigh...but it will get there! :)
hugs
Niki
We are covered in ice here this morning so I'm about to go out and take pics around the yard. The roads are messy so won't use them yet. Love your early morning pictures but I especially love the Christmas tree at the blue hour. It looks so cozy! I would curl up and have a snooze by the tree. Enjoy the day!
ReplyDeleteOhhh, don't you love to see a light in a neighbor's window??? I know I do.
ReplyDeleteAnd the way our house is situated, it feels like we are in a deep, dark hole. -chuckle- Plus, the ding-dang *forest,* which neighbor's BF planted, is cutting down more on any neighborhood lights being seen. BF is gone, but we are stuck with his trees. Grrrrr...
Your tree is LOVELY!!!!!! Just lovely! And you can take a lovely pic of it. I just don't seem to be able to take such a tree-pic this year. -pout- Seen-in-a-mirror, is the best I can do.
Mail coming, showing you how I "can see" more, in your pic. :-))))

Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteMy daughter lives at the very Eastern edge of Eastern Standard Time and I live at the farthest Western edge. There is almost exactly an hour's difference in sunset times, she also has to turn on all the lights not long after 4:00 and for us it is 5:00.
I thought your idea with the chalkboard printout was brilliant. Looking forward to seeing how it looks, I may do the same (but with a different choice this time) for the family room.
Good Morning! We have at least an extra hour of daylight down here. And yes, your tree is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed this peek into your world first thing in the morning. The covering of snow is a lovely backdrop to your beautiful Christmas tree.
ReplyDeleteHope your day is a good one.
Vee, your home looks so inviting and cozy! Love the picture of the snow with the light in the distance ...makes me think of "hope." :)
ReplyDeleteSuch wonderful pictures in this post! Your home looks so warm and festive! I love the light in the window shot...there is something so cozy about a light in a window. And your pizzelle tree made me smile.
ReplyDeleteFour o'clock is early for twilight! Sometimes I wish for longer days...but I also enjoy the early sunsets and longer evenings this time of the year.
LOVE LOVE LOVE it! Soo different from mine! Enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteGood morning Vee
ReplyDeleteDon't you just love the effect presented from the blue hour? Your tree looks lovely in that light and the room certainly does look cozy to me.
It's turned cold here again but at least no freezing rain or snow.
Judith
Good morning Vee. The pictures are lovely!! I hope you have a great day.
ReplyDeleteI really don't like it getting dark so early and I am longing for spring already.
I love this absolutely wonderful post, Vee!
ReplyDeleteCold and snowy outside your window, but inside it looks so warm and cozy. Your tree is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteLooks very cozy and inviting inside!
ReplyDeleteWe don't have to talk, just curl up in a blanket and stare at the beautiful Christmas tree :-)
Amen to the blue hour! It starts to get dark here not long after 4:30.
ReplyDeleteI've never heard it called the blue hour. It doesn't start here until after 5:00. Your tree looks beautiful glowing in the dark.
ReplyDeleteLove that snow!!! wow!!! It looks so cold and gray, but then BAM a warm glowing picture of your tree, so warm and inviting. I love it!
ReplyDeleteBrrrrrrr! That's cold! I'm not going to talk much either - just wanted to say hi and keep cozy - sitting in your Volkswagen gazing at the tree and the lights and the snow sound pretty cozy to me! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteAre you going to take the Papa blue one or the Mama blue one? You could take the Mama purple one if you prefer. LOL!
DeleteBeautiful photos! I love that blue hour, too. I understand about the fewer words, I'm afraid there will be fewer words and fewer posts at my place until after Christmas!
ReplyDeleteI love the way you find beauty all around you. I try to focus on that, too. Although, I thoroughly enjoy your longer posts, the simplicity of this one was just as nice. The best thing in life (well, one of them) is surrounding yourself with people who make you feel you are a better person for knowing them. You do that for me!
ReplyDeleteThanks for letting me know today is Tuesday. That's the way it is for me these days...checking to see what day it actually is. I'm not blaming it on the time of year either but on my hormone levels...
ReplyDeleteHave a great Tuesday, too!
Your tree looks lovely! And clutter, what clutter? Now, come to my house if you want to see clutter :)
ReplyDeleteAhhhh, sweetie, the lights, the tree, the feeling of Maine and a cozy home. I love it all.
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Sharon
Dear Vee
ReplyDeleteI could linger longer at your house - there's such a feeling of peace and calm.
What stunning photos too - the light is magical.
YES it's too busy and we each need to take some time out for reflection of what the word Christmas means.

How pretty...and so calming! We are having some cold weather here also...even some snow on Monday morning, of course all gone before our cars hit the roads
ReplyDeleteIt is so dark and snowy, so unlike our christmas time with all the sunshine and heat, for years we would sit down to a big hot dinner now its seafood and salad.
ReplyDeleteMerle......
Early dark evenings make for nice warm cozy houses. : )
ReplyDeleteThese are wonderful pictures, Vee. They make me feel warm and happy. Your tree is so beautiful, shining out in the darkened room.
ReplyDeleteAhhh...beautiful snow and the "blue hour" of sudk! Lovely photos, Vee!
ReplyDeleteWhat great photos, Nature's pizzelle, get a copyright on that one! Love it. xo
ReplyDeleteSo calm and cozy. Just perfect!
ReplyDeleteNot cheerless - mysterious. Okay, maybe a bit dreary, but the light in the window enlivens everything. Love the pizzelle photo - creative association!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to tomorrow's post after your comment today.
Oh so pretty! I love those early hours of the morning with the tree all lit. Absolutely beautiful!
ReplyDeleteIt does look like a pizzelle! (I didn't even know what that was until blog land. True story. Sigh.)
ReplyDeleteYou're right about that "blue hour". It is a great time to take indoor pics. Your place really does look cozy!!
ReplyDeleteMissing visiting, wanted to pop in and let you know that you were being though of in my corner of the world. Hope your holiday happenings are happy ones!
ReplyDeleteYour living room does look cozy! I need to work on that. Despite the Christmas tree, my house is feeling cold and uncozy!
ReplyDeleteLooks so cozy and inviting
ReplyDeleteOh, your pictures are gorgeous! We had our coldest night last night--26 degrees and I really hate it! Hubby built a fire tonight, but the house feels cold and drafty! Last night, my bed felt like a popsickle when I first got in. It was all warm and toasty when I awoke this morning, but then I had to get UP - to go to work- Ugh As soon as Christmas is over, I am ready for May!

I love your 'cluttered and cozy' pic at the end of the day. It spells warmth...and winter...and comfort (and joy)!
ReplyDeleteVee, The photos of your home look like something out of an Ideals magazine. I always enjoy my visits to your blog. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed visiting your home today.
